Why Glamp

If you've ever said, "I love being outside... I just don't love sleeping on the ground," you're in good company. Honestly, that's one of the reasons Wild Rest Sanctuary came to be.

I've always believed that spending time in nature changes us. It helps us slow down, breathe a little deeper, and remember that we don't have to be busy every minute of every day. But I also know that not everyone finds joy in pitching tents, packing half the garage, or waking up with a sore back.

Glamping is our way of making the outdoors feel welcoming instead of intimidating. You still get the campfire, the birdsong in the morning, the stars overhead, and that wonderful feeling of being tucked away in the woods—but you also get a comfortable bed, a cozy place to unwind, and a space that's ready for you when you arrive.

Around here, we see couples celebrating anniversaries, friends reconnecting after busy seasons of life, families making memories, and people who simply need a weekend to exhale. Some spend the whole day exploring. Others never leave their porch. There isn't a right way to experience this place.

My hope is that when you leave, you feel a little lighter than when you arrived. Maybe you've had conversations that only happen when the phones stay tucked away. Maybe you've watched a sunset you would have missed at home. Maybe you've rediscovered how good it feels to simply sit still for a while.

That's really what Wild Rest Sanctuary is about. Not escaping life, but remembering how good life can feel when we make room for rest.

I'm so glad you're here.
